Chilli-Cheese Nachos!

Did you know we make authentic style Chili-Cheese Nachos at SmallFry’s? We start with crispy Tostito corn chips then add a layer of real cheddar cheese and put it in the oven to melt. The melted cheese protects the corn chips from getting soggy when the wet ingredients are put on top. Next we add the chili, chopped onions and tomatoes, another layer of cheddar cheese and finally the pickled jalapeno peppers. Back in the oven under the broiler until the cheese is bubbling and the edges of the corn chips are lightly toasted. We serve it directly from the oven while it is still very hot. Served with a couple ice cold beers and your cravings are sure to be satisfied.

It’s worth the drive to San Isidro, Calatrava. 🙂

Are you addicted to chicken wings? Besides our popular Buffalo style wings, we just added extra crispy Cajun Wings to our menu. We don’t just fry our Chicken Wings. We experimented for months until we got it right. We start with big plump meaty wings and drumettes that go through a secret five stage process that ensures the wings are golden brown, dry and crispy not fatty or greasy while the meat is still tender and juicy on the inside. We had one self appointed wing expert tell us he knows when the wings are cooked right because you can eat everything on the bone including the crispy tip at the end of the wing. Whether you like them mild, medium, hot, or totally insane Carolina Grim Reaper we believe our wings will be the best you’ve ever had. Served with fries, or carrot sticks and ranch. It’s worth the drive to San Isidro.

Meet Blueberry, SmallFry’s Latest Kayak

We have been asked many times if we have a two person kayak. We listened and we would like you to meet “Blueberry”, the latest addition to our kayak collection. But why do we have so many Kayak’s? There are many types of kayaks and each one is designed for a specific purpose. Blueberry is designed for two paddlers, but is also made of extremely rugged polyethylene resin that makes it virtually indestructible. Like our smaller green kayak we call “Skipper” they have no breakable special features and are ideal for paddling and rough play on the beach. Out large blue Kayak we call “Thunder” is a fishing Kayak specially designed to hold rods and gear and very comfortable for a long day of paddling or fishing. “Storm” our blue and green touring kayak is slightly smaller and lighter and also very comfortable and ideal for well, … touring. And finally “Flame” our orange sit-on-top kayak is a wave surfer. When the seas get rough, and the waves get big that’s the time to bring out Flame to surf the waves like you would a surf board, but in a more comfortable controllable sitting position. Unlike the touring kayak’s it is safe if a big wave throws you off into the “washing machine”. So is that it, are we done buying kayaks? Not yet. The most exciting kayak of all is the white water kayak. We are still searching for a local river with deep water rapids like in Mindanao. When we find it we plan to add a couple more specialized kayaks and a tour package to the collection.
